The sample plays only when you press play. It demonstrates Elyvie's on-demand voice reply, not a live call and not guest-chat audio.

Voice without surprise

01

User-triggered

Audio never autoplays. You decide which signed-in reply to hear.

02

Transcript stays visible

The written reply remains readable even if audio is loading or unavailable.

03

Reviewed per companion

Only supported characters expose voice playback with an approved voice mapping.

01

From text to tone

Text tells you what a companion said. Voice adds timing, pronunciation, warmth, and the small pauses that make the same line land differently. Elyvie uses reviewed voice mappings for supported companions instead of assigning every new character an untested default voice. That keeps the voice attached to the character rather than turning playback into a generic narrator.

The product path starts with text because the guest trial is text-only. You can use up to three guest messages to decide whether the personality fits. After sign-in creates the persistent conversation, supported assistant messages include a voice action. Press it when you want to hear the reply; leave it untouched when reading is better for the moment.

02

How voice playback works

Voice does not autoplay. A signed-in user presses the voice button on an assistant message, Elyvie prepares or retrieves the audio, and playback begins from that deliberate action. The written message stays visible before, during, and after audio. If generation or delivery fails, the text remains usable and the control returns to a retryable state.

The sample above follows the same honesty rule. It is a checked-in, reviewed Siyu clip with a visible transcript and a fixed identity. The live chat CTA normally selects Siyu when she is available and voice-enabled. If the roster changes, the sample still says Siyu rather than pretending the audio belongs to whichever companion happens to be selected next.

03

Voice replies, not a live call

Elyvie's current web product offers on-demand voice replies. It does not currently offer a live web phone call. There is no ringing screen, open microphone session, per-minute call, or real-time two-way audio hidden behind the CTA. The landing page, metadata, structured data, and sample all use the same boundary.

That limitation is also useful clarity. You remain in control of when sound plays, nothing starts speaking in a quiet room without a tap, and the full written reply stays available. Voice support depends on the selected companion's reviewed production mapping. If a companion does not have one, the text conversation still works without exposing an unreviewed voice.

Questions about Elyvie voice replies

Can I talk to Elyvie by live voice call?

No. The current web product supports on-demand voice replies, not a live two-way call. You press a voice action on a supported assistant message and hear that reply while the written text remains visible.

Do voice replies work in guest chat?

No. The up-to-three-message guest trial is text-only. After you sign in and an authenticated conversation exists, supported companions expose playback on assistant messages. The boundary is shown before the page sends you to chat.

Which companions have a voice?

Only companions included in Elyvie's reviewed production voice map expose playback. The page prefers Siyu because her mapping and sample are reviewed. If the public roster changes, another compatible companion may be selected or the CTA falls back to the directory.

Does voice audio autoplay?

No. The landing sample and signed-in message playback both require a deliberate press. The sample uses no eager audio preload, so it also does not compete with the page headline and primary action during first paint.

What happens if playback fails?

The written reply or sample transcript remains visible. The control shows a recoverable error state and can be tried again. A voice failure does not erase the message, block text chat, or leave an empty conversation.
