AI Companion

An AI character you can chat with that has a unique personality, memory, and relationship progression. Each companion is driven by a narrative soul file and remembers you across sessions.

AI Photo Generation

Characters can generate new photos during conversation using AI. Each generated photo costs 2 credits. The character describes what they want to show you, and the image is created in real time.

Affinity

The trust and closeness level between you and a character, measured across 5 stages. Affinity increases naturally through conversation and determines what content the character is willing to share.

Credits

Elyvie's currency for premium features. 2 credits = 1 AI-generated photo or 1 minute of voice call. Text chat is always free. Credits never expire.

ElevenLabs

The text-to-speech technology powering Elyvie's voice calls. ElevenLabs provides natural, expressive voice synthesis in multiple languages, making voice conversations feel lifelike.

Long-Term Memory

Structured facts about you — your name, preferences, stories, and events — extracted at session boundaries and stored permanently. Long-term memories persist across conversations so the character always remembers you.

Media Library

Each character's collection of pre-uploaded selfies, video clips, and photos. Media from the library is shared for free during conversation as the relationship deepens — no credits required.

Relationship Stages

Five trust levels that progress through conversation: Stranger, Acquaintance, Friend, Close Friend, and Intimate. Each stage unlocks deeper conversations, more personal media, and greater emotional openness from the character.

Rolling Summary

A compressed version of older messages in a conversation, maintained automatically. When messages fall outside the active context window, they are summarized so the character retains context without losing earlier discussion points.

Session Boundary

A gap of 1 or more hours between conversations with a character. When a session boundary is detected, the system extracts long-term memories from the previous session before the new conversation begins.

Short-Term Memory

Rolling conversation summaries that maintain context beyond the active message window. Short-term memory ensures the character remembers what was discussed earlier in the same conversation, even as older messages scroll out of context.

Soul File

A rich narrative document that defines a character's identity, voice, emotions, daily life, and relationship progression. Soul files are pure creative writing — all technical instructions are added by the system at runtime.
