AI Photo Generation
Characters can generate new photos during conversation using AI. Each generated photo costs 2 credits. The character describes what they want to show you, and the image is created in real time.
Affinity
The trust and closeness level between you and a character, measured across 5 stages. Affinity increases naturally through conversation and determines what content the character is willing to share.

Elyvie's currency for premium features. 2 credits = 1 AI-generated photo. After your first 3 free voice plays, each voice reply play costs 1 credit. Text chat is always free. Credits never expire.
ElevenLabs
A text-to-speech company known for natural, expressive voice synthesis in multiple languages.
Long-Term Memory
Structured facts about you — your name, preferences, stories, and events — extracted at session boundaries and stored permanently. Long-term memories persist across conversations so the character always remembers you.

Media Library
Each character's collection of pre-uploaded selfies, video clips, and photos. Media the character sends during conversation as the relationship deepens is free; locked photos in the gallery unlock for 2 credits each (the first with each character is free).
Relationship Stages
Five trust levels that progress through conversation: Stranger, Acquaintance, Friend, Close Friend, and Trusted. Each stage unlocks deeper conversations, more personal media, and greater emotional openness from the character.
Rolling Summary
A compressed version of older messages in a conversation, maintained automatically. When messages fall outside the active context window, they are summarized so the character retains context without losing earlier discussion points.

Session Boundary
A gap of 1 or more hours between conversations with a character. When a session boundary is detected, the system extracts long-term memories from the previous session before the new conversation begins.
Short-Term Memory
Rolling conversation summaries that maintain context beyond the active message window. Short-term memory ensures the character remembers what was discussed earlier in the same conversation, even as older messages scroll out of context.

Soul File
A rich narrative document that defines a character's identity, voice, emotions, daily life, and relationship progression. Soul files are pure creative writing — all technical instructions are added by the system at runtime.

Elyvie's memory architecture combining two layers: short-term rolling summaries that preserve context within a conversation, and long-term fact extraction that remembers you across sessions. Together they give characters persistent, evolving memory.
Voice Replies
On-demand audio of a supported companion's message. After sign-in, press play to hear the reply in the character's voice; the first 3 plays are free, then 1 credit each. Elyvie does not currently offer live voice calls.
